Our Story

1st period: 1981~1989
Our founder and Chairman, Akihiro Yasugi, acquired trade skills, knowledge of overseas confectionery manufacturers, and know-how for business expansion in the confectionery distribution industry in Japan.

2nd Period 1990~1995
In 1990, AIM Co., Ltd. was established to take on new business opportunities in the confectionery distribution industry.
Our goal (AIM) is not just to wholesale imported goods, but to collaborate with overseas manufacturers to create more marketable products. To this end, we have built partnerships with major manufacturers in Europe, the United States, Canada, Australia, and other countries.
During this period, the company's know-how in effectively integrating overseas suppliers with local demand was strengthened, enabling it to realize total merchandising for best-selling products supported by demand.
In October 1994, a six-story head office building was completed in Kitanagasatsudouri, Chuo Ward, Kobe.

3rd Period 1990~1995
The Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake occurred in January 1995. Our company suffered extensive damage, but our passion for the confectionery business and our spirit of challenge to further expand never faded, and in 1996 we opened Kobe Shokusaikan, a gourmet restaurant with an imported food specialty store.
In 1997, we introduced a new system aimed at proper inventory management. We strengthened our ties with warehouse companies and local related manufacturers to arrange shipping flexibly and in a timely manner.

4th Period 2000~2023
In July 2000, the capital was increased to 50 million yen.
In July 2000, Aim Tokyo Kudan Building was constructed in Kudankita, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. Aim Tokyo Branch Sales Department was opened.
In December 2001, Delicatessen Co., Ltd. became a wholly owned subsidiary and took over the business. In order to capture real market changes, the company began operating retail stores.
*Delicatessen (DELI) is a complex store chain with locations nationwide that sells sweets, food, groceries, and cafes.
In November 2002, we opened the Shibuya DELI Tower in Dogenzaka, Shibuya Ward, Tokyo. The building has 10 floors above ground and 1 floor below ground, and is a multi-purpose restaurant building offering cuisine from around the world.
In November 2004, the company moved to its current headquarters in Isogai, Chuo Ward, Kobe City. It was named Aim House as the base and main building for the three group companies.
In July 2007, we opened a new business, the Hotel Shunka Tottori Daisen Resort, a hotel resort where you can stay with your pet. We started operating a resort at the foot of Mt. Daisen, where you can relax and unwind with your beloved dog while surrounded by nature, as a second home for dog lovers.
Hotel Rinka Hakone Gora Resort opened in April 2009. Located in Hakone Gora, a famous summer resort near the Kanto region, it began operating as a hideaway resort for dog lovers, where guests can soak in hot springs and relax with their beloved dogs.
Hotel Shunka Ise-Shima Resort opened in July 2009. With the vast Kokubun Shirahama beach overlooking the ocean as its landmark, it began operating as a relaxing seaside resort where guests can enjoy time with their beloved dogs.
On March 11, 2011, the Great East Japan Earthquake occurred, causing enormous damage along the Pacific coast of the Tohoku region. Fortunately, our company was not directly affected, but it was an opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to working hard for the recovery of Japan and smiles.
Hotel Rinka Fuji Yamanakako Resort opened in December 2014. Located in a location overlooking Japan's symbolic Mt. Fuji, it is a lakeside resort for dog lovers where you can relax in hot springs and spend time with your beloved dog.
In May 2015, Hotel Rinka Hakone Gora Resort was temporarily closed due to increased volcanic activity at Mount Hakone. Service restoration began in October of the same year.
In March 2017, we absorbed Delicatessen Co., Ltd. in order to improve the efficiency of our future business operations.
In July 2017, the hotel business celebrated its 10th anniversary thanks to the patronage of its customers, and the hotel business turned a profit.
In March 2020, Hotel Kobe Rokko Geihinkan opened in the Mount Rokko area as the first National Park Act designated accommodation facility in 100 years. It has begun operation as an urban hotel resort near Kobe, offering a panoramic view of Osaka Bay from the foot of Mount Rokko.
In 2020, the impact of the global coronavirus pandemic hit the overseas souvenir business, cafe chain confectionery business, and hotel business hard. Realizing that there are things that are "worthless" and "shouldn't be thrown away," the company sold off the large amount of inventory that had been generated by advance purchases, and took a stance as a company to protect what is important even if it meant taking a loss. This was the first time since the company was founded that the company had posted a loss, but the company once again created a structure to take on new challenges.
In 2021, as part of a project to revitalize the Rokko area, the Rokko House Cafe "Koberoku" will open on the grounds of the Hotel Kobe Rokko Geihinkan. It will begin operations with the aim of promoting the community in the Rokko Mountain area and creating a mecca for dog lovers.
In February 2022, the farmland surrounding Hotel Shunka Ise-Shima Resort will be converted into farmland and reopened as a large village facility. A villa will also be opened to provide higher quality accommodation and services.
Hotel Shunka Setouchi Ushimado Resort will open in March 2022. Known as the Aegean Sea of Japan, the area offers a panoramic view of the beautiful Shimanami islands of the Setouchi region. The hotel is located on a hilltop surrounded by olive fields, and is a place where you can relax and spend time with your precious family, as a second home.
In October 2023, Aim Co., Ltd. will have Akihiro Yasugi as chairman and Kenta Yasugi as president. The company will start with a new organizational structure to ensure business succession.
In January 2024, two hotels, Hotel Rinka Hakone Gora Resort and Hotel Rinka Fuji Yamanakako Resort, will be closed due to business consolidation.

5th Period 2024~
In February 2024, AIM Co., Ltd. will merge with Framer Co., Ltd. Returning to its roots, the "product creation" business, centered on confectionery and food, and the "experience creation" business of hotel services will be integrated to embark on a new journey as AIM.
